Ademola Lookman Olajade Lookman (born October 20, 1997) simply known as Ademola Lookman, is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier Leagueclub Everton and the England national team.
Lookman was born in Wandsworth, London. Lookman attended St Thomas the Apostle Collegein Peckham where he achieved three A*s and five As at GCSE
Lookman joined Charlton’s academy in 2014 after signing from Waterloo FC, a youth football club based in the London Borough of Lambeth. His goalscoring record for Charlton’s U18 and U21 teams led to him making a rapid ascent through the Charlton academy ranks and he made his first-team debut for the Addicks on 3 November 2015. He scored his first goal for the club in a 3–2 defeat at Brighton & Hove Albionon 5 December 2015, and then followed that up with a brace in a 2–2 draw with Bolton Wandererson 15 December 2015.
Lookman signed for Evertonon 5 January 2017 for a fee of £7.5m rising to £11m on a four-and-a-half year contract.
Lookman made his debut for the club on 15 January 2017 in a 4–0 victory over Manchester City, replacing Ross Barkleyin the 90th minute and subsequently scoring the team’s 4th goal.
Lookman was born in England to parents of Nigeriandescent, and is eligible for the national teams of both countries. Lookman received his first international call up on 16 May 2016 being named in the England U19squad for a double header against Mexico. He was subsequently named in the England squad for the European U19 Championshipsthat summer. In early 2017, Lookman turned down the opportunity to switch allegiance to Nigeria after an approach from the nation’s coach Gernot Rohr.
Lookman was selected for the England under- 20 teamin the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup. The team was also the winner of 2017 FIFA Under 20 World Up.
